ViPNet SIES is a set of cryptographic protection tools for integration into automated control systems and secure M2M communication.

Description

With ViPNet SIES (Security for Industrial and Embedded Solutions) the data packets sent from the SCADA system to the controller PLC, additionally provided with a signature. Thus, unauthorized persons can not send modified data packets to the PLC units. ViPNet SIES was developed for integration into automated control systems and machine-to-machine systems (M²M). The product consists of the following components: 1. Field level protection modules: ViPNet SIES Core and ViPNet SIES Pack cryptographic modules, which provide basic cryptographic operations to the end nodes of the control system. 2. Protective mechanisms for the upper level of the control system:
  • Server software ViPNet SIES Server that performs high-performance basic cryptographic operations for SCADA and OPC servers, server-based data collections, monitoring systems and HMI panels.
  • The ViPNet SIES HSM appliance, which ensures the storage of key information as well as high-performance basic cryptographic operations for SCADA and OPC servers, server-based data collections, monitoring systems and HMI panels.
