Swipe

Swipe makes your presentations interactive and easy to view by allowing you to share your entire deck with just a link. All the magic happens right in your browser, meaning you can easily present to anyone—whether it’s a remote team member all the way across the globe, or a client across town.

Swipe is an online presentation tool. It's mostly markdown based with a focus on simple presentations that can be built very quickly. It has limited composition capabilities but it has a rational interface that makes it a good option in the field.

Swipe takes presentations a step further by placing emphasis on interaction and collaboration

Multiple people on your team can contribute to one slide deck, and you can incorporate poll questions within your presentation, which your viewers can answer on their own devices. It’s a surefire way to make sure your audience is engaged and interested—and not dozing off in their seats. Though Swipe-powered presentations are created through a Web app, they can be viewed on any mobile device with a modern browser. In its most basic form, Swipe is a little like Slideshare, except with a serious injection of Kool-Aid. You drag-and-drop to upload files, which can be JPEG/PNG/RAW images, Ketnote, PDFs and up to 15 different file-types (though no PowerPoint support yet). You can also throw other content from across the Web into the mix, including YouTube videos. Presentations can be controlled and ‘broadcast’ live from any device over 3G, LTE or WiFi, and as the presenter swipes through their handiwork, everyone else who loaded the shared URL sees the presentation progress in real-time. Although presentation decks can be made public, they are set to private by default. Swipe has the ability to sync the playback of presentations in realtime to enable greater audience participation. The assumption being that, since audience members are too often glued to their laptops, tablets and smartphones anyway, it makes sense to provide an interactive second-screen experience. And if the audience can be persuaded to follow along on their own devices it opens up the opportunity for Swipe to provide the presenter with audience participation analytics, including click-through rates on any call-to-action, such as a live poll or sign-up form, or when audience members stop following along entirely. From this data, the presenter could hone their presentation skills and slide deck to make it more engaging.
